"H.E.R.O." Houston Employee Relief Organization

The Houston Employee Relief Organization was recently organized as a non-profit charity in November, 2007. The organization’s goal is to provide assistance to dependents of City of Houston civilian employees who lose their life while in public service to the City.

The Houston Employee Relief Organization has made arrangements for donations to be accepted to its “Survivor Fund” at Houston Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union.

Hurricane Ike Relief

Due to Hurricane Ike, all Members of HMEFCU with loans are granted an
automatic 30-day extension on payments due in October.

All ACH, cash and payroll loan payments will be deposited in your
checking or savings to use at your discretion.
