"H.E.R.O." Houston Employee Relief Organization

The Houston Employee Relief Organization was recently organized as a non-profit charity in November, 2007. The organization’s goal is to provide assistance to dependents of City of Houston civilian employees who lose their life while in public service to the City.

The Houston Employee Relief Organization has made arrangements for donations to be accepted to its “Survivor Fund” at Houston Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union.

You can enjoy added peace of mind knowing that your deposits are federally insured through the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a U.S. government agency. The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, signed into law on October 3, 2008, increased insurance coverage on all accounts up to $250,000.
